Cyclerides.com Weekly Update
8/14/19

Greetings Riders,

I'm Back!
In the last 20 years of doing the newsletter I had only missed 2 weeks of writing it. No matter where I was, be it on a motorcycle ride in the Rockies or on a beach in the Bahamas, I always made time to get the newsletter done. This year, I decided to take advantage of the hot Summer in Arizona when there is not much going on and give myself a much needed break. Working hard is a good thing, but without a periodic emotional exhale you can become burned out, and after all of these years without a break from it, I felt like I was there.

It only takes you 5 minutes to read the letter, but it takes hours to compile all of the information, process the photos and write a good story for the letter, then the next week is always on my mind. When you have one of those personalities that strives for the highest quality in everything you do, you always want the next one to be better than the last, it puts even more pressure on you. The break turned out to be a little longer than I had anticipated, but it was necessary and I am back, rested, and ready to share some cool destinations from our travels this Summer along with bringing you up to speed on what we will have going this Fall. Thanks for giving me a chance to reboot and for your continued support in everything that we do. I really appreciate it.

If you have been following the Cyclerides.com Facebook page or my BTadventures7 Instagram page you already know some of the travels we have had. I will be expanding greatly on those posts in upcoming newsletters with stories and many more photos.

This week I would like to announce the locations and dates for the Cyclerides.com Bike Nights for the Fall season. The destinations for bike nights this season will be Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale on the West side and Tempe Marketplace in Tempe for the East side.

Cyclerides.com Bike Night at Westgate will be on Thursday nights this season. It is going to be a schedule that has some gaps in it, so you will have to stay tuned to Cyclerides.com, Cyclerides Facebook or the newsletter to verify what dates we are having it. Due to events happening at the Gila River Arena next to Westgate at the same time as bike night, the center prefers not to have both events going on at the same time. So we did our best to carve out as many nights as we could. This season we came up with 7 nights that would be available.
They are all on Thursday nights. You can put these on your Calendar:
September: 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
October: 3rd and 24th (On October 10th Ridenow Peoria will host a bike night and October 17th Arrowhead HD will host one both with Live Music)
November: 14th

As usual, we will have great Live Music, Vendors and Food specials at the local restaurants. Event times are 5-9 PM. Live Music 6-9 PM. "Skarlett Fever" Band will kick off this season on September 5th.

Thanks to our continuing Presenting Sponsors Arrowhead Harley-Davidson, Indian Motorcycle Peoria/Ridenow Powersports Peoria. And thanks to our Associate Sponsor Law Tigers for their continued support.

I would also like to introduce a NEW presenting sponsor for this season. Motorcycle Mechanics Institute. Most of you know them as MMI located on 2844 W. Deer Valley Rd. in Phoenix. MMI will be at all of the events this season. Thanks to MMI for your support.

The Cyclerides.com Bike Night at Tempe Marketplace will be on Wednesday nights again this season. I really like this venue at Tempe Marketplace and it was just starting to catch on at the end of last seasan. It seems to be pretty cool to have a mid week bike night for the East Valley. This season we are doing 8 consecutive Wednesday nights starting on September 11th. That will take us through October 30th to complete the 8 nights. We will once again have the beer garden set up in the middle that you can get a beer and food. We will have vendors and excellent Live Music every Wednesday night. We will have Valley favorite "Broken Toys" band kick us off this season in Tempe. They will be bringing their soul and rock and roll for all to enjoy from 6-9 PM. I will have the rest of the bands booked within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks to our continued presenting sponsors Desert Wind Harley-Davidson, Ridenow Powersports, Indian Motorcycle Chandler and Nash Powersports.
And thanks to our Associate Sponsor Law Tigers for their continued support.

I look forward to another season of a great gathering place for riders to stop by and get something to eat and drink while listening to great live music and hanging out with your friends. Join us on opening night, September 11th with "Broken Toys" Band.
