The San Juan Skyway is a scenic byway in the southwestern corner of Colorado and arguably the most beautiful section of the Rocky Mountains.  The circular loop passes through historic mining towns, national parks, forests and ski resort areas and hits the towns of Durango, Ouray, Telluride, and Silverton.  The elevation reaches over 10,000 feet at three different places along the road, with the peaks of the San Juan Mountains towering over the roads at 14,000 feet.  A great road to ride full of beautiful scenery!
