Cyclerides.com Weekly Update
4/8/03
Greetings Riders,
Well, Arizona Bike Week is in full swing now. I am bringing the letter to you
a day early and a little abbreviated so that I can participate in some more events and get set up at
Cyclefest. The Kickstart party Friday night was again a huge success. Amber was the winner of the Miss Arizona
Bike Week contest as well as the winner of the online voting. Click Here for final pictures.
The rides that have taken place so far have been very well attended from riders all over the country. One thing
that is interesting during Bike Week is seeing all of the out of State license plates. I have seen a lot of California,
Colorado, Washington and New Mexico plates so far. Even one as far away as Louisiana. And the weather is cooperating
fully with temperatures to be in the high 80's and low 90's for the rest of the week. If you see me out with the
camera, ask me to take your picture and I will put it on the site. I will give you my recap next week.
The kick off of the Cyclerides.com V.I.P. Card has been very well received.
Here is some early response from V.I.P. users.
I ran into a guy Sunday that came up to me and said:
"By gosh this card really works! I bought one Friday night and went
over to Jetz to use it. I showed them my Cyclerides.com V.I.P. Card and they knocked 20% off of my food
bill, This is great!"
Another person said: "I bought the card and went right over to Hacienda and bought a leather jacket for my
girlfriend and got 20% off. The savings more than paid for my card!"
An email comment said: "The
V.I.P. Card is a great idea! I'll be picking mine up this week."
That is the type of response I hope to hear a lot of. The savings over the year could be substantial. Look for our booth at Cyclefest at Westworld so that you can pick up your V.I.P.
Card. I will soon be adding lodging discounts in Prescott and
Sedona, restaurants and entertainment venues all over the State as well as many other locations. I would expect
that within 30 days this will be one of the most valuable cards in your wallet. If you would like to give one a
try, stop by our booth at Cyclefest this week.
If you missed the letter last week here is the recap. For an annual membership
of $39.95 the Cyclerides.com VIP card will feature these benefits:
Over $100.00 of Free Food, Apparel and Services.
You are already $60 ahead. All you have to do is show the card to get your items. You
will receive free dinners from Casey
Jones, Jetz Americana, The Hideaway, Fandango and The Wild Hare.
There will also be free a free bandana or gloves from Joeta's
Leather, and a Free
Dyno Run from Custom
Performance. You will also get a 20% off of a one time purchase at Hacienda Harley for any parts, accessories and motorclothes
up to a $5000 purchase. This is a huge savings. So save up
for your wish list and get all your items at the same time and save. Beyond those free items and deep discounts
there will be many other benefits including locations that will offer Ongoing Discounts on Food, Parts, Services, Lodging and Events simply by showing your Cyclerides.com
VIP Card. This is just the beginning, I will be adding businesses daily as the word gets out that the Cyclerides.com
users are banding together as one.

Extras
Planning on going to Laughlin this year? Here is some information you might want
to read first. Many of you might have heard the latest issue to pop up on Laughlin is the “no colors”
policy being adopted by a number of the major hotels. I asked Stan Dale to gather some information for us
so he spoke with promoters of the event, individual hotel management, and members of the local law enforcement
agencies that have jurisdiction. The no colors policy applies to ALL patch wearing riders, even H.O.G.
Members. So you might want to read this report before you go. Click Here to read the full report of the policy and its enforcement.
As for me this week, I will be covering some of the runs taking pictures/video and be in the Cyclerides.com
V.I.P. booth at Cyclefest the rest of the time. My plan is to have a "Scenes from Arizona Bike Week pictorial
section as well as a video presentation. So if you see me out with the camera. Ask for a picture and I will put
you on the site.
Until Next Week,
Blessings and Safe Riding To All,
Barry Caraway
