Greetings Riders,
I was going to do a story on my NASCAR driving experience at PIR this
week, but there has been such a "buzz" and interest in the "Wild Hogs" movie that I wanted to
follow up on the Cyclerides.com Movie Ride Night and see if we can make this a really big event and a fun
time. Here is the update for everyone who might be wanting
to go for the opening night of "Wild Hogs" on Friday, March 2nd. The theater has had such a good response
from the last newsletter that they have added another theater that will be playing the movie simultaneously
at the 7:15pm time slot. So not only are they showing it in the 468 seat main theater with the 4 story screen,
they will also be showing it in the 368 seat theater across the hall with approximately the same size screen. This
will give us a total of 836 potential seats available for the 7:15pm showing.
The tickets went on sale this afternoon and the theater reported that
they had already sold almost 150 tickets in 90 minutes and going strong.
So if you are interested in going, you should probably go online to buy your tickets as soon as possible or
stop by the theater box office to pick up your tickets. There are many groups coming from all over the valley for
this event. I have talked with the local TV stations and they are interested in covering this event as well. With
the street in front of the theater blocked off for motorcycle only parking, this should really be a high energy
fun time. See last
week's newsletter for my review of the movie. TV3
also did a review of the movie with some good clips.

Here to View.
If you want to go to the movie earlier than the 7:15pm main event, showings throughout the day are 11:00am, 1:50pm, 4:50pm, 7:15pm and 9:50pm. As I
mentioned last week there are a few restaurants open in the Westgate City Center including Gordon Biersch, The
Yardhouse, Moe's Southwestern Grill and a Johnny Rockets that will be opening on Thursday. There is also a Coffee
Plantation, Coldstone Creamery and a chocolate and wine bar. Johnny
Rockets and Moe's will be offering 10% off for Cyclerides.com readers when showing your movie ticket to Wild Hogs. If you want to get there early, Gordon Biersch and the Yardhouse have outdoor patios
to set on and watch all of the bikes come in. Westgate is a great venue and will soon be home to the 20,000
square foot Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurant. One of only nine in the world.
Parking spots will be blocked off on the main street in front of the theater
for motorcycle only parking as well as a huge section of the parking lot just West of Moe's Southwestern Grill
and East of Gordon Biersch.
I would suggest getting there at least an hour before show time,
preferably before that. Bring your camera, there will be some
photo ops with posters or cardboard displays inside the theater. Let's make this a big turnout and have some fun
at the Cyclerides.com Movie Ride Night to "Wild Hogs". I know at least one group that is leaving from Biker's Bay at 2530 E. Bell Rd. Call
Jim at 602-923-0114 for time. If I hear of any more I will post them on the front page of www.cyclerides.com .

Extras
Take
a Paul Yaffe
Originals Shop Tour This
Saturday.
I got a call from Paul Yaffe last week asking me if I would
come down to his shop so that he could show me one of his latest projects. I have to admit, I was surprised at
what I was about to see. Everyone knows Paul is one of the
most renowned Custom Bike Builders in the world, appearing many times on Discovery, Speed, NBC and all of the major
bike magazines. But what I didn't know was his interest in customizing
OEM bikes. Late last year Paul took delivery of a 2007 Harley
Street Glide. After putting a couple of thousand miles on it while thinking of ways to improve it, Paul rolled
it on a lift and began doing what he does best, adding personal touches to his motorcycle. As we talked for
a while, I was impressed with Paul's philosophy on customizing OEM baggers. Paul's desire is to take a stock motorcycle,
add a few Yaffe designed parts, modify a few existing parts, tweak the engine and turn your
existing bagger into a bike that will stand apart from the rest in the parking lot, all while keeping the
rideability of a stock bike. In my opinion, that is the best of all worlds.
While touring the shop and the fabrication area, I was amazed
at how just a few simple changes, and custom parts from a true motorcycle designer, can completely change
the looks and functionality of a bike. I know it is hard
to think that someone like Paul Yaffe could customize your bike and you could still have a few bucks left in your
pocket, but it is true. All upgrades are competitively priced. He is really looking to provide a service
to our local community by both customizing YOUR bike and maintaining it beyond what the dealerships will
do. Services include:
One off parts, Award Winning Paint, Pick Up and Delivery, Custom Sheet Metal, High Performance and Courteous Friendly Service. To
get to know you and show you what his plans are for this new segment of his business, Paul is inviting everyone
to come take a tour of his shop, and see for yourself what he can do for you and how he can make your bike stand
out from the pack. This Saturday from 11am - 4pm, ride
down to his shop, take a tour and receive a free T-Shirt. I
think you will be as impressed as I was. Paul Yaffe originals is located at 2211 E. Indian School Rd. in Phoenix.
