Cyclerides.com Weekly Update
1/20/10

Greetings Riders,

Welcome to the Arizona Everglades. At least for now, that is what it is starting to look like. There are lakes popping up everywhere and water standing where it hasn't been in years. As a true desert rat, I wouldn't want to see this kind of weather all the time, that is why we moved here, but it is kind of fun to see a different side of Mother Nature every once in a while.

You might be wondering why the newsletter is out so late. It has nothing to do with the rain, I wish it would have been that easy. For some reason I had a little medical issue that literally had me down Tuesday night through Thursday morning. The long story short is that I had a tooth become inflamed due to some serious grinding of my teeth at night. That created one of the worst toothaches/headaches that I have ever had in my life. Now I know what people with Migraines must go through. After and emergency trip to the Dentist on Wednesday morning for some antibiotics and pain killers, After getting 2 hours of sleep on Tuesday night due to the pain, I spent the next 20 hours in bed. It was bazaar and unpleasant experience for sure. Although I am still hurting pretty good, I am slowly on the mend thanks to the medication.

My original story for this week was to do Day 6 of our 2009 Ride. I had the pictures done as was ready to write the article when my tooth bomb erupted and spread to my to story writing concentration. So, that will be put off until next week.

Until then, enjoy the rain and while you are sitting around the house, if you missed it, check out the entertaining newsletter last week about deciding when to put your rain gear on. As always, feel free to browse some photos and video on www.cyclerides.com .
