Weekly Update
12/23/09
Greetings Riders,
We are now in the last week of 2009
and this is the time of year I like to take a little time off an get recharged
for the upcoming year. So the editorial part of the newsletter will be brief for
the next couple of weeks. But I will still provide some video for your
entertainment in the Extras section below.
Mrs. C. and I would like to wish you
a very Merry Christmas and a enjoyable Holiday Season. We would like to thank
everyone for your support of Cyclerides.com throughout the year. May God Bless
all of you and a special blessing to our Armed forces who are stationed in
all corners of this world that will not be home with their families during
Christmas.
Have a blessed day,
Barry and Tammy Caraway
Here is something that came across my email that
I thought I would share with you. This is called:
Twelve Important Things
My Motorcycle Has Taught Me.
1. The only good view of a thunderstorm is
in your rear view mirror.
2. Four wheels move the body; two wheels
move the soul.
3. I'd rather be riding my motorcycle and
thinking about God, than sitting in church thinking about my bike.
4. Life may begin at 30, but it doesn't
get real interesting until about 75 mph.
5. Midnight bugs taste just as bad as Noon
time bugs.
6. Sometimes it takes a whole tank full of
gas before you can think straight.
7. A bike on the road is worth two in the
shed.
8. Young riders pick a destination and go;
old riders pick a direction and go.
9. When you're riding lead, don't
spit.
10. Catching a yellow jacket in your shirt at 75
mph can double your vocabulary.
11. If you can't get it going with bungee cords
and duct tape, it's serious.
12. Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head
out of a car window.

A lot of the dealerships are having creative sales to catch our attention,
but here is one that caught my eye.
There is an interesting
promotion going on at Chester's Harley-Davidson called Tires 4
Life. If you saw any pictures of me at the
Rocky Point Rally, you might imagine my excitement over this program.
Apparently, if you buy a new Harley from Chester's Harley-Davidson, they will
pay for new tires for your motorcycle as long as you own it. Since I have 58,000
miles on my bike and spend about $500 a year on average for tires, (not counting
burnouts) this could save me about $2500 over 5 years. Pretty sweet deal if you
ride a lot." So if you ride a lot and are looking for a new bike, you might
check them out.

last year, but it has a moral to it, is pretty funny and goes with the

I took a flight up to Sedona yesterday with Mrs. C. and her Parents who had
never been in a small plane. We were greeted with a dusting
of snow on the Red Rocks. It was a beautiful sight to see. I have posted 50
photos to share with you.

Have you ever flown in to a small Island airport?
This is St.
Bart's and apparently a lot of first time pilots tend to mis-judge the approach.
This is an expensive way to wash your plane. Click Here to
