Weekly Update
Greetings Riders,
The calendar has now rolled over to November and that means we are soon going to be turning our attention to Thanksgiving, Toy Runs and then on to Christmas. But before we can do that there is one more little event this weekend that you might want to attend before you turn your attention to the Toy Runs, and that is OCC In Tempe - Best of the Southwest Custom Motorcycle Show.
For me, this weekend is the culmination of several months of work on helping bring the Teutul's to Arizona for one of the biggest 3 day motorcycle events we have ever seen in this State. On Monday, the setup started by erecting the big 60 x 100 tent on the ball field in Tempe Beach Park at Tempe Town Lakes. This will be the area that will display 15 of the Orange County Choppers motorcycles that will include the Lance Armstrong Bike, The Fire Bike, The POW Bike, The Jet Bike, The Black Widow Bike and more. The bikes will be displayed on risers under the tent for everyone to photograph and get a good look at. The festival style Vendor tents have been set up and look fantastic. The main band stage is being erected and will be home to Bad Company's Paul Rodgers on Saturday as well as local bands, Crushed on Friday night, CTS opening for Paul Rodgers on Saturday and Rondavous closing us out on Sunday.
We have 27 fantastic bikes in The Best of the Southwest Custom Motorcycle Show. You will be impressed with this collection of motorcycles from California, Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona. The Vendor selection is excellent with lots of displays including the new state of the art Budweiser True Music Roadhouse as well as a wide variety of items to purchase. The weather is supposed to be in the low 80's with plenty of sunshine for the entire weekend. Parking for motorcycles will be as follows: On Friday Mill Ave. meters will be reserved for Motorcycles only down to 3rd st. and also the surface lot of American West located just South of the front entrance to the park. The AWA parking garage will be available after 5:00pm on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, parking will be on Mill Ave. as well as the entire 6 level America West parking garage and surface lot that will be motorcycle only parking. The cost from the city is $2.00 per bike for the garage. Thanks to the City of Tempe for making motorcycle parking a priority.
After several months of being a part of working on this project, it was a great day on Monday to finally see equipment being brought in, tents being erected, banners being hung and the makings of an excellent 3 day motorcycle event coming to fruition. I hope to see you out there. The booth will be easy to find. It is located at the end of the main walkway into the park directly across from the Custom Motorcycle show. We will have a limited quantity of new black long and short sleeve, Sweatshirts and Women's spaghetti strap shirts Cyclerides shirts available. Stop by to say hello and pick up your free pen.
You can still order tickets online. Click Here to order.

Don't miss Scott Pasmore's report from our trip to OCC. He will be live at the Park on Friday all day and will be airing the piece on the Morning Show, Mid Day and Evening shows. It is an excellent report with some great interviews with Paul Sr., Paulie and Mikey. Tune into TV3 on Friday Morning.

We all know that riding motorcycles can sometimes be a risky business. But we need to think about making sure that our families are taken care of in the event of a catastrophic accident. A Cyclerides reader came to me with this and it sounded pretty good. You might want to take a serious look at it. The death or disability of a loved one can cause irreparable financial damage.  Did you know that for as little as $33.22 per month (Age 50) you could receive $250,000 Accidental Death Benefit AND $1,500 monthly Accident Disability Income.  No exam required.  For more information please call Roger Craig at Roger Craig & Associates today at 480-342-9760 or email Roger at

As for me, you know what I will be doing this weekend. If you are there, stop by and say hi. I will have long sleeve and short sleeve Cyclerides shirts available as well as a very limited amount of Sweatshirts and Women's spaghetti strap shirts.
Until Next Week,
Blessings and Safe Riding To All,
Barry Caraway
