Cyclerides.com Weekly Update
10/3/07

Greetings Riders,

I'll bet this is surprising you. The newsletter on a Tuesday? There must be something big to get out that can't wait until Thursday. THERE IS! I am excited to announce that Cyclerides.com is partnering with Westgate City Center in Glendale, AZ to bring to you one of the most popular Classic Rock bands of the 70's and 80's, KANSAS!

That's Right! KANSAS will be appearing live on stage adjacent to the Dancing Fountains at Westgate, next to the Coyotes Arena on Friday, October 19th at 8PM. Kansas is the band that brought us some of the most played classic rock tunes in history, including "Carry On My Wayward Son", "Point of Know Return", "Sweet Child of Innocence", "Song for America", "Icarus, Borne on Wings of Steel", "Portrait (He Knew), the classic "Hold On", and still one of the most played songs played songs on classic rock radio today, "Dust In The Wind". The list of hit songs is very long for one of the most played bands on radio in the late 70's, early 80's and even today. A little "Fun Fact" is that in 1997 and 1999 Kansas had the number 1 and 3 most played songs on Classic Rock radio with Carry on Wayward Son and Dust In The Wind. If you want to take a walk down memory lane, Click Here for a 2:30 medley of 6 of their big hits. (You can right mouse click on the link to download to your computer.)

The band Kansas, who still features 3 of the original members including Phil Ehart on drums, Steve Walsh on keyboards and vocals and the eye patch wearing Richard Williams on Lead Guitar is now celebrating the 30th anniversary of the progressive rock masterpiece, "Point of Know Return", a follow-up to their quadruple platinum album "Leftoverture". Kansas is in the middle of their U.S. tour and is packing the venues in every city with fans wanting to hear their classic songs live. From their humble beginnings as an early 70's "garage band" in Topeka, KS. to one of the most popular progressive classic rock bands of all time with 8 gold and 3 quadruple platinum albums, Kansas will bring their magic musical sound to Glendale, AZ on Friday, October 19th for a show you won't soon forget. www.kansasband.com

After hosting the Cyclerides.com Wild Hogs movie night, Hearts to Heroes, and the Choppers Memorial Ride, Westgate has thoroughly enjoyed the participation of motorcycle riders at the City Center. As a result, through Cyclerides.com they are catering to the motorcyclists in the entire valley with this event by offering preferred pricing and motorcycle parking. Not only am I from Kansas, and burned through this thing called a vinyl album named "Point of Know Return" 30 years ago, on a contraption known as a turntable when I was in college at KU, I thought this would be a great event for all riders from around the area to participate in. It is really cool that a facility of this caliber would cater to riders like Westgate has done.

With this being a Cyclerides.com sponsored event, I asked the Valley Harley-Davidson dealers if they would like to participate and it was a resounding YES! You can now buy your discount tickets at these participating Harley Dealers. Arrowhead HD, Buddy Stubbs HD, Chandler HD, Chester's HD and Superstition HD.

We are bringing in over 1200 chairs to be set up for this concert. Tickets range from $15 for general admission to $100 for the first 2 rows. This is how it is going to be set up:

Front Row Experience: First 2 rows (only 80 available) are $100 per seat that includes a "meet and greet" with the band, autographed poster and a private bar and restrooms. Only available online. Click Here to Order only these tickets.

Golden Circle VIP: These are seats in rows 3-9 with a private bar and restrooms. Normally $56 online, you can get them at the Harley Dealers for $40 per seat.

Golden Circle: These are seats in rows 10-20 with a private bar and restrooms. Normally $35 online, you can get them at the Harley Dealers for $25 per seat.

General Admission: These are standing room tickets you can get them at the Harley Dealers for $15 per person. Normally $22 online.

Day of show at gate:

Golden Circle VIP - $60

Golden Circle - $35

General Admission - $25

Cyclerides.com Newsletter readers are getting a nice discount and first chance at these tickets as none of the other advertising has been released yet. There are only 80 Front Row Experience, 300 Golden Circle VIP and only 900 Golden Circle tickets available. I would suggest getting yours as soon as possible as these seats will certainly sell out when this concert is released to the general public. If you are unable to get to Arrowhead HD, Buddy Stubbs HD, Chandler HD, Chester's HD or Superstition HD to get your tickets, you can buy them online and print them out on your printer at the same discounts listed above plus the additional online ticketing fees. Click Here to Purchase Cyclerides.com discounted tickets online.

If you would like to ride in with a group, rides are being organized for the evening of Friday, October 19th from all of the above dealerships. I will announce times and locations for these rides in the newsletter next week. There will be an entire lot adjacent to the concert area at Westgate for motorcycle only parking. Food and beverage will be available at Westgate in the concert area around the fountains which will be fenced off and serve as a large beer garden. Gordon Biersch is offering 15% off that night to all concert ticket holders.
Click Here to sign up for the Newsletter.

This is going to be a GREAT CONCERT with Kansas, and a good excuse to get out on a beautiful evening with your riding friends for a night out on the bikes. Get your groups together and let's see how many motorcycle riders we can get into this beautiful venue at Westgate with preferred seating and concrete for a rare opportunity to see one of the best Classic Rock Bands of all time. As always, at Cyclerides.com events, all motorcycles are welcome. I look forward to seeing you there for another memorable event. Click Here for a printable poster to hang in your workplace.

Cyclerides.com Classifieds are Back!
I had so many of you email and want the OLD classifieds back that I have finally gotten it done. The reason I dropped them before is that I didn't have time to do it as it was set up. Recently I had a programmer build me a classifieds page that you can automatically add your own Bikes, Parts and ATV's. Then you can upload up to 5 photos of what you are selling. (Make sure to reduce photos to less than 500k in size) It is very basic and easy to use. There is even a search function available that will separate out Parts or whatever brand that you are looking for. The cost for the Cyclerides.com Classifieds is going to only be $10 for 60 days. This page was previously one of the most viewed pages on the site from all over the country. To get the page up and running, for the next 2 weeks you can add your bikes and parts for FREE. Just put 1234 in both credit card and expiration spots when you list your bike. To view the bikes currently on the site CLICK HERE. You will see the bikes that are currently available. Click on the "View Details" for a complete description of each bike and to see larger photos. You will also see the link to submit your ad. It says $10, but for the next 2 weeks it is FREE. Give it a try. Add your bike or parts today.
