Cyclerides.com Weekly Update
10/31/12

Greetings Riders,

Well, I hope we all are enjoying the weather change here in Arizona. I know I am. It is making those cross town trips really nice now. After seeing the pictures on the news this week, it reminds me why I don’t live on the East coast. It is amazing the destruction that Sandy inflicted on New Jersey and NYC. Our heart goes out to all those people who lost their homes in an instant. Very sad. Click Here for some pictures that really show the destruction.

For Arizona, it looks like the forecast is for great riding, or whatever it is that you want to do weather. Don’t forget that you can still head up North as it is only an approximate 8-10 degree difference between here and the Sedona area most of the time.

This week I am excited to announce the details of the Cyclerides.com Toys to Kids event that we will be having on Saturday, December 1st. This year, the Toys to Kids is particularly special for me because it marks the 10th year of this event that actually allows riders to bring the toys directly to the kids and watch them pick them out. This is by far one of the most special events that I do and always look forward to helping these kids live in a better world, at least for a while. The teachers tell me the kids look forward to this event all year.

The Cyclerides.com Toys to Kids event will once again be held at Westgate City Center in the fountain plaza area where we will bus in 130 underprivileged and homeless kids from the Children First Academy from downtown Phoenix. We will entertain them, feed them and then they will each get to pick 3 gifts from the stack of toys that you bring to take home with them. One of the toys that they pick is for them to give away to another child that could not come. There is no cost for this event. All we ask is that you bring at least one toy or game per person for ages K-5.

This year is going to be especially fun as we once again have Craig Davis for entertainment. Craig was a huge hit for the adults as well as the kids last year. He is a world class magician that normally charges over $2000 per show at private parties and corporate events. He combines the art of illusion, comedy and the spectacle of the circus that is amazingly entertaining. Craig specializes in Original and Unbelievable Grand Magic Illusions, Side-Splitting Comedy, Audience Participation, Trained Tropical Birds, Amazing Juggling and features Original, Exciting Music. This is always a special event and should be especially entertaining this year. Bring the whole family. Craig will start his performance at 10:45 AM. So be sure to be there. Check out a video on his web site. Click Here.

This year Craig will perform a little longer and is bringing new illusions for this act that you will not want to miss. Beware, he loves to involve the crowd for participation into his act. Be ready to be a part of the show. He will also be performing magic acts throughout the crowd prior to his show. So get there early to enjoy the day.

Save The Date! Saturday, December 1st.
Itinerary of the Day:
The morning will begin at 9 AM at Westgate City Center with Christmas music spun by Big D’s Mobile DJ’s.
Saddle Ranch will have available an all inclusive $9.99 per person breakfast buffet beginning at 9 am. The kids will be arriving at 10:15 am and all will enjoy some street entertainment as a warm up for the big show. At 10:45 am the Toys to Kids will begin with some amazing comedy, magic and juggling from Craig Davis. Bring the whole family to enjoy this great event. This is usually the best day of the year for these kids and they love to see the riders and bikes. Westgate City Center is located at Loop 101 and West Glendale Ave. in Glendale.

As most of you know, the Cyclerides.com Toys To Kids is the favorite event of any that I do the entire year. To be a small part of helping these kids have a special day and to replace an otherwise difficult life with laughter and joy for a few hours is a great feeling and well worth the effort it takes to make it happen. The time I get to spend with these kids and see a somber look in their eyes turn to a glow of hope and joy is absolutely priceless.I would encourage you to ride in or bring your family in the car with a toy and enjoy the show. We need to make sure there is enough toys to go around. This could be one of the best one’s yet. Thanks again to all for your support of this event every year. I can’t wait!

Hope to see you there!

RideNow Powersports Demo Event. Looking to try out your favorite off road vehicle? THIS IS THE PLACE!
RideNow Powersports will open the flood gates on its 2nd annual Demo Event November 2nd through 4th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Arizona. “This event is one of our favorites,” Matt Petrovich, Director of Marketing at RideNow Powersports. “It’s not often we can offer people the chance to test ride any brand vehicle they want! This event only comes once a year.” The Demo Event provides a rare opportunity for the public to come test ride any brand of on-road and off-road vehicle RideNow Powersports carries. Formerly referred to as the “RideNow Tent Event,” this year’s Demo Event will allow individuals to test ride designated vehicles from the following manufacturers:
Polaris, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki, Can-Am, Spyder, Harley-Davidson, Victory, BMW, Vespa, Piaggio, Lehman Trikes,
Champion Trikes.

With any test ride, individuals will receive a free ticket to the NAPA Auto Parts World Finals boat drags. Other attractions at the event include the RideNow Girls, food vendors, T.E.A.M. Arizona, the American Sand Association, Off-Highway Vehicle Ambassadors and exclusive offers only available at the event.

“Test riding is important when making a big purchase. A lot of people who come into the stores have already ridden the vehicle because a friend or family member had one, but there are many people who are beginning this hobby with no preference toward one brand or another,” Petrovich said. “We do this event so people can come out and experience every manufacturer we carry. This makes the commitment to own more comfortable for people and provides them a good time, as well,” For more information call 623-334-3434.
