One of my favorite times of the year is when
Bike Night at Westgate
starts up a new season. And that is exactly what is happening on
Friday, September 7th. We will begin the Fall Season with Live Music
featuring Classic Rock and Blues by "The Visitors". All the fun begins
at 5pm - 9pm with Live Music beginning at 6pm. Ride in and grab
something to eat or drink with your friends and enjoy some great live
music. Fall season is every Friday Night 9/7/18 - 11/16/18. I look
forward to seeing you there! Be sure to check the Cyclerides.com Facebook
for the "Bike Night Live" Segment between 7:30 and 8:00. I will be
interviewing different Riders, Vendors and New Products throughout the
season. Be sure to "Like" the page for other updates.
There are several great routes to ride
in the United States, but one stretch of asphalt that always
makes the Top 10 roads is the Pacific Coast Highway 1 between Cambria
and Monterey, California. We have ridden this route several times in
both directions and it never gets old. Well, unless you get stuck
behind a motorhome that blocks your views of the vistas. That can be
annoying, but the road never disappoints.
Have you ever ridden PCH 1 and
wondered what was on the other side of those cliffs that you are riding
next to? If you have, now you can see them. I had the
opportunity this past weekend to photograph the PCH from roughly Hearst
Castle to Monterey from the ocean side. We flew just off the coast at
an altitude so that we got a great look at the road. These photos are
beautiful and really give you a new perspective of how awesome this
roadway really is. It might even change the way you look at it the next
time you ride this road.
Here for the Photos. Please
share newsletter with your friends who might enjoy these.

I will be back next week with my
report of riding the PCH from Monterey to Hearst Castle and back
to Monterey on Day 1. And then from Monterey to Alice's Restaurant
located just South of San Francisco on Day 2. I will map out a really
cool route for this.
Please stay tuned and "Like" the Cyclerides.com Facebook

both of our Bike Nights.

For those of you that have not been to
Westgate, I like to call it the "Times Square of the Desert"
that presents a great venue for a bike night that has been going on for
10 years as one of the biggest bike nights in the Southwest. Cruise and
park on Coyote Blvd. next to the fountains, then visit the vendors and
grab something to eat and drink at one of the many restaurants. Stay
tuned for the food and drink specials. I look forward to getting this
started again to provide a great place to ride to on Fridays nights.
