Cyclerides.com Weekly
Update
8/28/13
Greetings Riders,
Well, it is almost that time of year again. On Thursday September 12th, I
will be starting up the
Cyclerides.com
Westgate Bike Night for the Fall season. This season we will be doing 10
Thursday nights from September 12th – November 14th. As always we will have Live
Bands every Thursday night from 6-9 PM starting with the 74th St. Band to kick
us off.
For opening night this season we will start with a Firefighter Appreciation
night to honor the Yarnell 19 and to show our appreciation for what all of our
firefighters do for us every day. We will have a couple of representatives from
Prescott as well as the Firefighter Bag Pipers that will lead a parade of
firefighters down Coyote Blvd. If you have not had a chance to hear these bag
pipes in person, please come to experience this. They are inspirational and
emotional as they play God Bless America.
Plan to help us kick off the Cyclerides.com Westgate Bike Night on
Thursday, September 12th and take advantage of the opportunity to show your
appreciation for our Firefighters. More information and details will follow in
next week’s newsletter. Please share this newsletter with all that you think
might be interested in attending.
For those of you going to Durango this week, I have a couple of good
nuggets for you are far as some cool routes are concerned. One route is the
Indian Rt. 12 that takes you over a beautiful mountain and red rock. See
my story from a couple of years ago about this.

worth your time. Take Indian Hwy. 12 from Hwy 40 (which is just West of Gallup)
going North. Take 12 up to Hwy. 264 and turn right to Window Rock where you will
pick up Hwy. 12 again going North. Take 12 North to Hwy. 134 that will take you
