Weekly Update
Greetings Riders,
Wow! The wet weather has moved on and the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce weather has moved in to provide awesome riding weather for us. As I look forward I'm seeing mostly sunny skies and even a high of 90 by the end of the month. So if you have been waiting for temperature nirvana, I think it is here. Not only that, the wildflowers should be popping soon for additional eye candy in the desert along the way. If you are out and get some good desert flower shots, email them to me with the location noted and I will start a photo page for that.
With the weather getting excellent, I am really getting excited to put on some extended miles. I had some time last Saturday and was able to take a short 120 mile ride with my buddy Tony from Westgate. We went to downtown Scottsdale for lunch at Dos Gringos and then took the loop from the 101 to the 202 to Hwy. 87 to Fountain Hills and then the back way through Rio Verde to Dynamite and back to the west valley. Wasn't a real big ride, but the 120 miles sure felt good for starters. Can't wait to throw on 300 or 400 miles real soon.
As most of you know, we are only 23 days away from the Pre-Rally festivities for Arizona Bikeweek. So motorcycle activities are going to be picking up around town going through Bikeweek and beyond. A few events coming up real soon are the Westgate Bike Night with that starts on Thursday the 18th and runs through June 24th. For those of you that can't make it every week, I now have a way for you to keep up with what is happening by logging on to the Westgate Bike Night Web Cam. Every Thursday during Bike Night the web cam will be live pointing over the fountain to events plaza, automatically refreshing every 10 seconds for you to keep up with the action. Click Here to give it a try. See all information in the bike nights section of the newsletter below including the addition of the National Guard Patriot Chopper built by OCC on display in events plaza.
The Downtown Scottsdale Bike Night on Craftsman Ct. starts next week on Wednesday, March 24th  and runs till June 30th. Craftsman Ct. will be blocked off for motorcycle only parking from 6pm - 10pm. Four restaurants including Dos Gringos, Upper Deck Sports Grill, Whitehouse and ACME Bar & Grill will be participating with food and drink specials. We will have music on the street and vendors. I think this will be a happening place on a Wednesday night in downtown Scottsdale. Click link above to see the brand new flyer for the Downtown Scottsdale Bike Night.
So how is everyone going to keep up with what is going on in this busy month? Well, once per week you have the newsletter to see what is coming up and what has happened. The web site will be updated as well. But for those of you on Facebook, you will get the up to the minute happenings during AZ Bikeweek and Bikenights. I will be doing mobile uploads of photos and reports from wherever I happen to be. Even if you don't have a facebook account, you can still view the updates, photo's and video at Lot's of good stuff, Check It Out! For those of you that have a Facebook account, go to that same address and click Become a Fan at the top of the page. Chandler Bike Night update. For those of you in the Southeast Valley, I know you are excited for the Chandler Bike Night to resume. I had a meeting this past Monday with several city officials. We are trying to get this thing done the right way and are still working through some issues. I'm hopeful that I can announce next week that we will be starting up again on Tuesday, March 30th. I hope so.
Tomorrow night will start the whirlwind of a lot of motorcycle activity over the next 3 months for me. I look forward to seeing a lot of you beginning tomorrow night and throughout the next few weeks in all parts of the Valley. Thank you for your support.

Bike Nights This Week
Wednesday Downtown Scottsdale Bike Night. Starts Wednesday, March 24th!
For those of you on the East side of town, you have not been forgotten. This is something that I have wanted to do for a few years, and it is finally happening. I will be starting a new bike night in Downtown Scottsdale on Wednesday nights. Many of you might remember a few years ago when Arizona Bike Week had the Tuesday night party on Craftsman Ct. in Downtown Scottsdale. We will be re-creating that great party by blocking off Craftsman Ct. between 3rd Ave. and 5th Ave., just West of Scottsdale Rd. each Wednesday night for motorcycle only parking. This is the same location as the Downtown Scottsdale Block Party.
Four bars and restaurants on this street will be participating in this event with Bike Night specials including:
Upper Deck Sports Grill,
Dos Gringos,
Whitehouse and
Acme Bar & Grill.
Three of these places have outdoor patios and are set up perfect for a bike night. Plenty of trees and a nice ambiance around. We will have music, vendors, food specials, drink specials and plenty of plenty of fun as we head into riding season.
Put Wednesday, March 24th on your calendar for the Downtown Scottsdale Bike Night. More information to follow in the letter next week.
Hacienda Harley-Davidson in Scottsdale is our first sponsor of this event.
If you would like to be a Sponsor or a Vendor at this event, email me at Should be a great place for a Wednesday night bike night in Scottsdale. Click Here For Information Page and for photos of the street, restaurants and an aerial view. Should be fun!

King and Eric Clapton. The current 8-piece band consists of all seasoned professional musicians who hail from the Boston and New York metro markets playing for major bands back East including Iron Butterfly and Chaka Kahn.
