Cyclerides.com Weekly
Update
3/28/12
Greetings Riders,
Well, pre-rally days for Arizona Bikeweek is now over and it is time to get
down to business at Westworld for Cyclefest.
Mrs. C. and I took
advantage of the beautiful riding weather while sticking with the itinerary that
I had posted in the newsletter last week. One thing that I have
noticed so far are the large crowds at the events and the amount of bikes on the
road already. In fact, I even ran into a group from Idaho that were down here
already for the event. It looks like my original inclination is turning out to
be correct in that this could be one of our bigger bike week’s in quite a while.
All of the events have been VERY well attended so far including Cave Creek and
the Hideaway which have been extremely busy. It is really nice to see all of the
bikes out and about, and being able to see friends that we haven’t seen for a
while and getting the opportunity to meet readers of the newsletter. Thanks to
all who have said Hey!
As you all know, Cyclefest at Westworld starts on Wednesday
with the vendors opening and the start of the daily concerts including
Quiet Riot, Puddle of Mudd, REO Speedwagon and Tesla. There will be over 100
vendors, demo rides and activities throughout the day. Go to www.azbikeweek.com to see all of
the listing of events.
Finally! The day is near. On Thursday, March 29th, I am excited to be
kicking off the
Cyclerides.com
Westgate Bike Night presented by the
Law
Tigers.
It has been a long off season and I am ready to rock on
Thursday nights. This will be the beginning of 14 consecutive Thursday nights
for bike night this season that will end on June 28th. We are combining this
night with a Phoenix Coyotes game night. So not only will there be a couple
thousand bikes rolling through, there will be 10,000 Coyotes fans checking them
out. Should be one heck of a night. We have several vendors setting up including
the latest custom creations from Jim Nasi Customs, Arrowhead HD, Ridenow
Powersports, Curly’s Customs and more.
You will enjoy Live Music with Sour Diesel Trainwreck featuring their great
blend of Southern Rock. Food and drink specials include Calico Jack's - $3
Tacos, $2 Bud and Coors Original, The Shout House - $7 Burger, Fries, and a
Beer,
Shane's Rib Shack is offering a FREE 10 piece Traditional
Chicken Wings Basket with the purchase of any Full Rack Rib Plate. Value $7.99.
Saddleranch is offering a FREE bull ride to any biker presenting a “M” class
license. If you would like to check out part of a hockey
game while you are there, the Coyotes are offering riders upper level seats at
$20 per ticket ($40 value) or lower level for $50 ($75 value). Simply
go to www.phoenixcoyotes.com/bikenight and put in the special offer code
“puck” to create the account to order your discounted tickets.
As a result of sharing the night with the Coyotes we have had to give up a
little parking inside, but we have a huge lot on each side to
accommodate overflow. Street opens at 5 PM for parking. Live Music from 6-9 PM.
There will be limited access down Coyote Blvd. while hockey fans are coming in
for about 45 minutes, but it will be open all night before and after that for
cruising the boulevard. I am REALLY excited to kick off the Cyclerides.com
Westgate Bike Night presented by the Law Tigers this Thursday night. Hope to see
you all ride through tomorrow night and enjoy the fun. See you there!
