Cyclerides.com Weekly Update
3/7/18

Greetings Riders,

If you missed the newsletter last week, Click Here to View.

Well, we are now only 24 hours away from the start of our 10th Season of the Cyclerides.com Bike Night at Westgate Entertainment District. I still find it amazing it has been that long. Time truly does fly when you are having fun. This season we are starting off like many other opening nights with the 74th Street Band. The special display this week will be the very popular "Jet Bike" that will be firing up throughout the night to show you what over 320 HP sounds like coming out of a jet powered motorcycle. And just added, the "Jet Car" will be on display as well.

Stop by and help us kick off Season 10 and Thanks for your continued support!

Due to time constraints getting last minute things in place for the kickoff, I have included the details of Bike Night that I had in last weeks newsletter. See the new restaurant specials below.

See you Thursday Night!
Barry

Cyclerides.com Bike Night at Westgate Entertainment District begins 10th Season!

The Cyclerides.com Bike Night this Thursday, March 8th from 5-9pm and the good news is that the weather is predicted to be 79 degrees for a high, which will make for an absolutely perfect ride to Westgate Entertainment District for the opening night of Bike Night. Put this on your calendar, forward this email to your riding buddies, and come join us for Live Music with the 74th Street Band. There are many new restaurants that have opened at Westgate in the last few months, so there are plenty of choices of places to eat and drink. Bike Night specials are posted below.

As usual there will be plenty of vendors for you to browse including Arrowhead Harley-Davidson, Ridenow Powersports, Indian Motorcycle of Peoria, Law Tigers, Phoenix Motor Leathers, Affordable Powder Coating, Discount Biker Supply, The Clip Man, AzzKikr Customs and MV Augusta.

On opening night our special feature will be the Y2K Turbine Powered Jet Bike. This bike has been on display at bike night a couple of times over the last few years and when it is started up, it draws a crowd like nothing else that we have ever had. There have only been a few of these bikes produced and became famous when Jay Leno, who is an owner of one, did a segment about it on the Jay Leno's Garage program. The Y2K has a rolls royce turbine engine out of a helicopter and puts out over 320 HP and 425 ft/lbs of torque and has been clocked at 227 mph. Video does not do this justice. If you haven't seen this run in person, it should be rolling in about 6:30 pm on Thursday night. Mark will light it up throughout the evening. Don't miss this one!

Please take advantage of the great weather and help us kick off our 10th Season of the Cyclerides.com Bike Night at Westgate Entertainment District located at the Loop 101 & Glendale Ave. in Glendale, AZ. April 11 – 15 at WestWorld
Arizona Bike Week 2018. It’s Arizona Bike Week’s 22nd annual celebration of the 2 wheel lifestyle.  So as a tribute to all those twos they’ve dubbed it their “Deuces Wild” rally!  This year’s concert lineup is tremendous, with Collective Soul, Chevelle, Shinedown and ZZ TOP!! Check out the event schedule on the ABW website: http://www.azbikeweek.com/. It looks like a trip to biker Disneyland!  It’ll be tricky to see and do everything each day, so plan your time carefully.  If you miss one stunt show, you can catch the next but remember there are THREE different shows and you’ll definitely want to see them all!

The HandleBar Saloon made its first appearance at Arizona Bike Week in 2002.  Since then, it’s evolved into being THE place to meet up with friends when you’re ready to kick back and chill with some great music, grub and a couple cold ones. It’s gotten to be such a popular hangout that it was getting pretty overcrowded.  So this year they’ve tripled the size, with seating for over 300! From the first band each day, to the post-concert adult games and entertainment at the after-hours parties, there’s ALWAYS something going on in the HandleBar Saloon!

An event pass to all days, all shows, vendors and CONCERTS is just $58, if you purchase your ticket before March 11.  On March 11 the price goes up to $63, which is still the best deal you’re ever going find for all the entertainment and attractions that ABW provides. And just to sweeten the pot, for anyone who wants to skip the concerts but still see all the other shows, vendors and flat track races, Sunday April 15 is a FREE admission day!!
